from denver water:

"We are in good shape at Dillon, and also looking ok on the Platte. That means we will probably have the tunnel shut-off for some of the spring, and then use the tunnel to top off the South Platte system as runoff ends. We cannot bring water from the west slope unless we need it; that would violate our water rights decrees, and our philosophy to maximize east slope water supplies before diverting from the west slope.
However, natural flows on the North Fork should be pretty good. And later in the summer we will be bringing significant water through the tunnel, much like last year."

this was in response to me asking if the the north fork (bailey/foxton) will run this spring inorder to lower levels on dillion in preperation for spring runoff. hey, we can dream can't we? i'll check back in early may and see what's up.

Downside;Bailey /Foxton will not be ragin' or running early

Upside;late summer flows maybe into fall, and the Blue will be crankin' like it hasn't in years.

Hope Mt. Evans andGuanella Pass get dumped on for N.FK. ,Waterton,Bear , and Clear Creek.
