We live in WI(also get up into the U.P. Michiga) and powder is a gift for us, so when we DO have snow, we have been taking our cross country waxless skis out into the hills/woods and try to ski whatever backcountry we can. These skis are way too skinny. Trying to figure out the best set-up for touring and tree skiing out of bounds. So far we have looked at Fischer 112's and Rossi's metal edge with scales. Do we go with 3-pin or tele bindings and how rigid of a boot? Any advice from backcountry skiers??
