With the discussion of the wood cleanup in Bailey, it might be a good idea to collect other places that need some attention, as well as to let others know that an area has been taken care of..

Soo.. to start off...

On the drive to/from skiing this year I've noticed that there is some wood in Clear Creek in the screaming quarter mile (looks streamwide), and some downed trees hanging in the water just upstream of the the traffic light where highway 6 splits towards Idaho Springs and BlackHawk.

If anyone knows of anyother areas.. holler.

If there is something in the Boulder area, I can try to get out for the cleanup.

Foxton

Keep going downstream to Foxton. I think there is still some wood just below the boulder field from the center all the way to the banks on river right - I haven't seen it since last year though. It's been there for a few years.

I haven't noticed Clear Creek - I'll look at it tomorrow when I drive to Denver.

Love to help clean up if people get together.

Count me in for Clear Creek. Send me a PM if you plan to head in the canyon. With daylight savings, we could get some stuff done post work day. I will scout Foxton and Waterton this weekend. Have old climbing rope and hand saw. ~Jamie

I thought I saw a big log in Boulder creek between the tunnel and turnout for Sugarloaf rd. I noticed it out of the corner of my eye the other day. I don't drive up that canyon too often so I haven't double checked it. Maybe some Neds will notice if it needs addressing.

Poudre

Was up near pineview about a month ago. Right above it where the takeout/putin is there was a newly downed tree that layed about halfway across river right side. Not sure if it is still there. Dont have the tools but would be willing to help remove it if it is still there.

You might want to wait till the water comes up and pushes some of that stuff along. If you know it's not going anywhere then give er' but it is amazing what mother nature can do if the water comes up high enough.

I agree w/Hobie, but the wood in Foxton isn't goign anywhere. It's been there for a few. Anyone interested in a little chop chop let me know the time and place of meeting.
