Isn't 2.9 supposed to be a good level? Is there water in there?

yo mankinator, I think I saw a post from Atom at some point that said don't drive down from d-town or farther unless the level is about 3.2. Check out the gauge, there is only about 175cfs in there right now, twice that would probably be better. just one opinion. but I watched Shane Benedict's video of the embudo in 2005 at 3.9 feet and it looked really nice--but they only got footy of the upper gorge, I would expect that the lower would be stout at that flow. anyway, here's to hoping its a good level around May 26th or so, cause that is around when I will be getting out there. enjoy bear and clear creek, etc. Valle is running too.

Went into the lower with some Montucky cats and Ryan Casey twice that day Shane was filming on the upper, it was some of the best boating of all time. The entire embudo took about 1 hour to run, it was a sea of white and the entrance hole to slots of fun looked like surf break at maverick's. Those guys came down for 2 weeks of boating in the southwest, got to the embudo, and boated that thing for two weeks straight. That's one of the best runs on the planet when she's juicing

With the way it is comming up it should reach 2.3 tonight or tommorow.
I am thinking about heading down there tonight\tommorow to eat some tacos and run some shit. It would be nice to have a few more folks. Anyone eles headding down there in the next few days?

I think what Atom was saying is that 2.9 early season is different (lower) than 2.9 later in the season since diversions ditches pull alot of water out before the gage later in the season.

2.9 this weekend was fine cause all the ditches were flowing. 2.9 a month ago was miserable cause the ditches were dry.
