Going in this weekend. Just curious to hear from some of the folks that were there last weekend? Sounds like river was clear, ice on the edges? Could you comment on the camping situation at the putin and Little D? Thanks.

Had some friends that did it on 2/27. Ramp at put-in was totally covered in snow, but made for some fun getting the boats in the water. River was clear the entire way with some ice on the edges and a few cool ice caves here and there. We're also headed there this weekend with a Saturday launch. How many are in your group? Can't wait to get on the water - this is the first trip of the season for us! See ya there :)

We will likely have 10 peeps. It will be our first time out this season as well. Looking forward to it! Hopefully all this I-70 rock closure crap won't screw us too bad. Hope they have at least two way traffic going by the end of the week.

Looks like one lane in each direction will (hopefully) be opened in the canyon today. We're still going no matter what. Hoping that some other folks might back out because of the long detour if the road isn't opened yet - would be great to have a little bit of solitude on an otherwise (somewhat) busy run! Willpaddle4food, sorry but we don't have any spots on our permit available!
