Does anyone out there have any experience building a fishing frame......Down river sells all the parts, is it worth it? I have an aire tributary and am looking for a simple frame that I can fish out of. Frames out of NRS or AIRE are too expensive for me right now and am looking for an alternative.

I have also herd of people out there that build custom frames, any suggestions?

Had Gary do a frame last year for me....yup, hes a hoot alright, and stands by his frames and workmanship. Reasonable prices for sure- a savings of time and money steered me away from doing up my own frame....although the current winter time garage/boat tinkering has me making changes and daydreaming of bigger boats and bigger frames.......so it goes.

I finally decided to do my own, but not because I think I can do it any better or signficantly cheaper than Gary could have, although it will save me a few bucks. I just thought it would be fun and good experience for this newbie. I ordered all the components today, so I'm like my eight year old waiting for Santa to come.:p
