We are set on AIREs because of Idaho ties. We mostly float in the Southwest- northern NM, southern CO, and southern UT. More day trips than multiday trips. We looked at the Super Puma initially, but thought it would be too small for multiday trips. The Super Duper adds some more width, but the D-series seem more like work horse. In some ways the 143D series seems the most tried and true, but it seems big to haul and set up for day trips. No garage and no trailer. Any opinions on super-duper, 130D, or 143D. Thanks..

I got a super duper puma this year and i love it. I think its a badass boat. You should def. go with a 14fter. More gear, more room for people etc.. I even got them boys at Down River Eqp. to build the frame for it. Its a great boat.

I have had my 143D for four years now and love it. I run alot of day trips and several multidays per year never any problems with this great boat. At 146 lbs it holds 1800lbs of gear and not to bad to set up for day trips, trailer recommended. It is a work horse and great for punching waves, tracks great and runs fast, Runs like a porche with tons of room. Super Duper is great boat without as much gear space or as a fishing boat. Don't make my mistake with a frame from AAA inflate and go with DRE they are better guys to deal with.

Boats...

I would recommend the 13 ft boat. If you are only going to be fishing, the supepuma is a great option. I have one and love it. I have used it on everything from week long trips to racing it in the Gore race. It is capable, but if I had it to do all over again, I would probably go with the 13 ft. boat for Colorado... I used to work at Down River and they can build frames to do anything...

Thanks all for the advice. We will go with the AIRE 143 D series. Seems the most flexible for all uses. Cheers, Kevin
