a few of us cleaned and ran the first mile above the Moffat tunnel in 2000. It is fast III+ for the most part.. It consists of a 200 foot mile with not a whole lot to it. The one named rapid is Gary's demise.
This run does not get the benefit of Moffits water.
You have to hike for every mile you boat.
Above where we put in looked better, but needed a lot more work and was above a few tributaries, that would make for a small window of flows on a good year.
There is also more raodside stuff below the tunnel that is mostly boring except a sweet looking 15 footer out of a tunnel into a class 5 boulder garden. Not sure if that's been run.
