I wrote some simple instructions that tell you how to run the Grand Canyon. Or maybe a trip report. This was from last December.

Go to Lee’s Ferry on rig day and get your gear check out and the abridged trip orientation.

Day 1: Launch at first light. Head down to 25 mile rapid for a quick lunch. Camp at Tatahatso to finish the day. Climb around on some rocks, drink some beer and get down for some camp time. Dinner is good. Get to bed early.

Get up early for day two. Stop for a stretch and a pee at Nankoweep and get down to the confluence for lunch. You can head down to upper rattlesnake to end the day and be in camp by 2:30. Hike in the sun, up the drainage and back, have some beers and take a picture.

Day three: Paddle Nevels through Walthenberg and a few miles more. Camp at Big Dune. Sleep.

Day 4: Stops at Deer creek and Havasu will get you out of your boat for a stretch. Camp will be at Tuckup. There will be time to hike and eat.

On day 5 quickly head down to Lava run it before lunch and drink at Tequila beach. Camp at Parashant where there is time to hike and rest.

Day 6 is a short paddle to the take out and on to Vegas by the end of the day. You can make it home the following day and back to work the day after.
