You should be just fine in the Huck. I'm your weight and I own a Huck. I've never felt too heavy for the boat, or I've never been unable to make the kayak perform properly. It boofs great, excellerates quickly, turns on a dime. It's perfect for Colorado.
I love it and I demoed every creek boat available at the time. You're well within the weight range for the boat. I particularly like it's shortness. It makes the transition from the playboat to creeker a bit easier. In fact...the Huck drives very much like a playboat...it's easy to boss around. I don't think you'll be dissapointed.
