I'm getting on Bluegrass this Sunday. It's reading 362 cfs right now, so it should be pretty good. I've got a crew going, but the more the merrier. Probably going to hike laps on the upper bit a few times, then float the rest out, to make for a long worth while day. Give a shout, 307-690-0480
Probably not worthy of a trip report, but just a note that Bluegrass Creek is running and is good for the getting. A few of us ran it Sunday at 260 cfs and it was lots of fun. Today the hotline is reporting 340, with plenty of storage upstream, so it should go for a while.
Also a heads up...
The flows have dropped back down a bit but bluegrass creek should be still good to go. A buddy and I are planning on getting on it tomorrow (Sunday the 24th) so anyone wanting to get some waterfalls and barbed wire give me a shout.
456cfs from Wheatland Reservoir #2 as of Tuesday! Looking to head up for a run on Saturday (8/23) with a buddy and anyone else who's game.
Thinking about maybe trying to get on Laramie Canyon (http://americanwhitewater.org/content/River_detail_id_2462_)
on Sunday just to change it up and try...
I'll be at the Flying X ranch this weekend (the old, less-hassle putin, that you can only get to if you know an owner there) and would like to paddle the Bluegrass. I've done this section once before, including the "Main Event" in my 4Fun, and that's what I'm planning on doing this time, too...
Bluegrass Creek is flowing back up around 350ish, if it holds and it all works out I'm going to try to get a few people together and get on it Sunday morning. Anyone interested give Austin a call at 307-690-0480.
