  1. Canning cocktails/beer at home

    Rafting | Gear Talk
I have fallen down the deepest of internet holes and discovered you can purchase a home canning press. This led me to explore premade cocktails, ready to drink, no mixing required. I could can up GnT’s, margs, old fashioneds, etc. Anyone doing this?
  2. Freezing Beer

    Whitewater Rafting
I have had great luck freezing PBR and other yellow/ rice beers for river trips. I was wondering how some tastier micro brews might hold up.

  5. Day (Beer) Cooler

    Rafting | Gear Talk
After countless hours wasted looking for the perfect sized day cooler, I believe I found it. It holds 15 cans with ice or 12 with ice and a couple sandwiches. I don't think it will retain ice more than one day, however I don't really care about that. It fits perfectly in a ammo can sling also!.
  6. Grand Canyon Cold beer on Hottest days..

Boaters Forum | General Boating Topics
While everyone is flipping on class II rivers, I'm thinking about cold beer on the Grand in August. I have never been before and I have never spent 19 days in 100+ degrees. I have a Yeti 20 (RTIC) that I am thinking I can fill with cold river water in the morning and add a day's worth of beers...

  10. Grand canyon Beer strategy

Boaters Forum | General Boating Topics
Should we be concerned about using "borrowed" milk crates to transport beer on our Grand Canyon Trip ? I've used them on other trips without issue. I like the way the are riggable and work nicely for smashed empties Comments
  11. Beer to borrow kayak in Moab?

    Whitewater Kayaking
In a nutshell I'm a commercial boater that can no longer bear the thought of unrolling, inflating, rigging, derigging, deflating, rolling a raft just to get a quick float on the daily. Used to kayak and throwing a boat on top of my car sounds just dreamy. If anyone has a kayak they wouldn't mind...

    Rafting | Gear Talk
We just returned from the Main Salmon and I wanted to give a big shout out to Pardner Steel -- that free beer bong you included is awesome! It's built incredibly well and I see it lasting for years.
  13. Flying Beer Into Indian Creek?

    Whitewater Rafting
We have a July 27th launch on the MF. The flows are looking like they will be below 2ft if the current drop in flow continues. Can anyone recommend a service to fly beer and other possible supplies into Indian Creek? Any idea on cost? I'm trying to figure how this will calculate into the overall...

The North Umpqua is currently running at 2800 for the gauge above Copeland Creek. Dreamflows show the run in the Red Zone. We are thinking about rafting it this weekend (today is Tues) and rain is in the forecast but to what degree I cannot know. I am curious to hear thoughts about the...
