America's Wild and Scenic Rivers stamps - event
Supporters like you have helped protect hundreds of miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers in the last year alone, including the Rogue, Nestucca and Molalla rivers here in Oregon. You know the value of these special places, and now the U.S. Postal Service is taking note, too.
The Postal Service has issued new Wild and Scenic Rivers stamps to pay tribute to our country’s most outstanding rivers and streams. American Rivers is participating in the first-day-of-issue event for the Wild and Scenic Rivers Commemorative Forever stamps in Tumalo State Park in Bend, Oregon on May 21.
The event is free and open to the public. We hope you will join us there!
Speakers will include David Moryc of American Rivers; author, photographer and former American Rivers board member, Tim Palmer; and other partners and local leaders.
