The Future of Kayak Shuttle

I've seen the future, the future of boating shuttles that will revolutionize the sport. That future is body shuttles.

I'm tired of always loading and unloading and reloading and unloading boats when river running. Why don't we just do body shuttles at the end of every lap and then drive back down to the boats? It's so easy and simply I'm not sure why everyone isn't doing it... Just a thought, what do y'all think?

Because at the beginning of the day you are dry.
Also some people fiddle near their vehicle. Forcing them to commit to getting in another car reduces the fiddle factor.

Google Self Driving Shuttle Car is the real future.

If by 'body shuttle' you mean simply walking back to the car I have been doing it for years for my local run. If it involves walking more than a mile or so it becomes a pain. If you mean something else please do correct me.

I think he means leave the boats at the bottom and just go get the cars.

That works great for some shuttles, not so much for the longer ones, where returning to get your boat is a real waste of time.

But maybe he means something else entirely.

Depends on what the take out/put in is like. Local in town creek run here has a huge lot at the takeout but only room for a couple cars up top. Usually just run the drivers back up to get cars and sort the rest out at the takeout.

I see a business plan in our future: Uber-Kayak.

All hired drivers must have a vehicle that has a rack or truck bed large enough to carry 5 boats with passengers.
