Alto, South Boulder Creek

I wanted to post for an FYI for all....

I live in the Alto Alto area and have run this several times over the past few years.... With recent construction on the fishing property and some significant structures put in including a larger drop under the new bridge...I thought it would be nice to put in a courtesy call to the club there to inquire about their feelings of boaters coming through especially since levels are quickly rising out on that stretch.... The individual I spoke with was agreeable that boaters can come through but was very adamant about not touching bottom, portaging etc... I have noticed over the last year that they have put in a number of structures for fish but that all present pretty cool features for boaters including the larger drop under the bridge....It may be worth a drive up Pactolis road for anyone to take a look before running to see the new river....I know these guys are proud of their stretch but was glad to hear that they knew about the potential boater traffic....

Cheers...

As a follow up, I did speak with the actual Property Manager out at the fishing club and he was much more understanding in that he realizes that the structures may present challenges but was OKAY with people getting out and portaging so long as they realize that it is private land but that his interest was in everyone being safe...

Again, FYI
