Hey Zach- I've read a number of your posts, so it seems you may be the guy to ask about adding D rings to an Aire from the inside. Any additional tips aside from cutting the slit fairly short and then hole punching the ends so it doesn't keep running? I'd gladly just hire you to do this if I was in your neck of the woods!
I've been trying to get some advice on repairing a older hypalon boat and was wondering if you had any insight. I've seen your name pop up a lot so I thought i'd ask you. i've tried to add a d-ring and foot cup to my boat and i'm not having much luck with the shore adhesive staying adhered, is Clifton Hypalon adhesive much better? I've read that it is but wanted another opinion. Also what's the best way to go about a inside tube patch , i haven't been able to find much info on that.
I have been reading a lot of stuff on raft repairs lately and your name keeps getting brought up so I thought I would shoot you a message to get some advice. I bought a 12' SB Trib last year because I couldn't beat the price. The store was closing out and I picked it up new for $1100. I already own a 14' SB Vanguard, but figured it would be nice to have two boats. I really want to add some chafing strips under the tubes to give the boat a little more durability...the tribs are pretty bare bones and I'm pretty nervous every time I even lightly scrap a rock. I was looking online and the material is pretty resonable but I have never taken something on like this before and want to make sure I'm not gonna get in over my head and make a disaster with it. Have you ever heard of anyone doing this before? If I do decide to do it, should I use Clifton or Stabond...and how much will I need? I would appreciate any advice you can give me.
