Looks like it's around 160 cfs, thinking about coming over from aspen tomorrow to do some kayaking/duckying w the gf, hoping to enjoy the colors w no stress on the river. Let me know what you think and come tag along if you like! Thanks,

If they were releasing 200 cfs from Twin Lakes today, would the flow in Buena Vista be about 530 cfs? Thanks!

    HEy Logan,
It's Tony from Flagstaff. I was just checking in on what the snow situation is up your way? Snowbowl just opened, only a few runs, but we got a great skin in. Always looking for a couch to surf near some good snow. I'll keep you posted on flows and snow down here. It be a worthwhile trip for you to boat and ski down here if you can get away. Sometime's it hard to get away. Think snow!

Right on, thanks for the heads up. Things are dicey and I don't believe anybody knows how the water will roll. I liked deepsouthpaddlers talk with the Denver guy on basin diversions, It makes sense that the basin would have senior water rights to the junior basin diversion. But I think their will be some fight between Ag water and municipal water this year.

Thanks Logan! I did see your TR and I'm stoked to plan that trip, Bob brought it up this spring but said we missed the high water and that the run wasn't flowing enough anymore (this was back in May).

Do you know how long the flows allow you to float this section? Also are the petroglyphs hard to spot or pretty simple to find?

You always seem knowledgable. I'm an active duty National Guard solider on Ft. Carson, and I live in Canon. I want to go to Rincon with my squirt boat. Is the turn the one in Howard? Any beta on this spot would be greatly appreciated. The river peaked in May in 2002 also of memory serves me.
    Thanks,
    Jim

I did score the BCA Tracker II. Now I need enough snow to get amongst it. We have a few hut trips coming up soon.

    HeyLogan,
This is tony from Flagstaff. I boated with you on Oak Creek last year. I have a few questions for you. When you guys boated Fossil, I saw in the photos that you have someone in an inflatable duckie, was that OK. I have a buddy who wants to boat that, but he is a duckier and he was warned not to take an inflatable down there due to the Traverine rock that is there. I would appreciate the feedback about a duckie. Also, I remember that you guys shot a video while you were in AZ, is there any way you can send it my way. I would love to watch it again. The snowpack here is pretty lame now, but the Verde has been running consistently around 250. I'm looking to buy a raft (14' or 12) to get on the rivers form multidays./ Hope all is well. Be in touch

Yeah, I hit the Canon City town run and there's even white water on it because the water is so high. There are also a ton of stainers in the river right now.
