    Hello Airborne2504,

My name is Ryan Hotchkiss. I normally would not reach out to a poster like this, but I really need to ask the right people for advice before we launch our website this spring, Creeklife.com.

It’s been tough to keep most of my family and friend’s interested because only a few of them are boaters. So, I thought maybe the people that took the time to post on this forum may be willing to take the time to help me.

I am originally from Gunnison, CO and now ‘I am a work from home husband having moved to Costa Rica in 2008. In my spare time, I guide rafts and kayak.

You are one the first group of people I am contacting to help… other than my ‘friends’ and I will incorporate your ideas if they fit w/ the site.

I know I can make something in this world better for ourselves, our rivers and future generations.

Please look for me on the site if you can make it over.

    Thank you,
    Ryan Hotchkiss

    Alex,

No doubt...it was cool getting to know you a bit and boating with you. I'll definitely keep you in the loop on trips. I actually got pretty upset yesterday when I was trying to rescue one of the beginners to shore, Jose rammed my boat, flipped me and I actually swam out of my boat since I was hitting rocks and stuff. Needless to say I froze going down Brown's yesterday because of that short swim. Nothing like trying to do a rescue when your buddy plows you over. By early next week I should know what days off I'll have with DOC. It probably won't be weekends, but if they give me a swing or graveyard shift then I may still be able to boat certain parts of the days on weekends if that's when most of the trips are planned.

    See Ya Soon!

I was reading your post and saw your profile. I was 5/19th '97 to '06. If you are looking for guys to paddle with, SPT co @ Watkins has a few guys that I got into it:
Candelaria, Albers, Pareso, Spencer, Dorey, and Piltingsrud to name a few. I am with the 157th Inf and will make my way back to SF in the next year or so after I make E-7.
I am a class III / IV boater.
