15' Sotar - Starter/Family Boat

Hi all,

If you're interested in getting into boating or looking for a good family expedition rig, this Sotar is solid. I've been using this boat for the last two years and it's done a great job on the likes of the Upper C, Dolores, San Juan, Ruby Horsethief, Moab daily, etc. It's in great shape, built tough. No patches or major gouges. The outer layer of the urethane could use a little love though. It's a superficial thing but a little glue and paint will pull that outermost layer back to the tubes nicely. This doesn't affect the actual tubes that hold air. There is a slow leak between the baffles of a couple chambers. Therefore, it's a great boat for lower risk rivers like the ones mentioned above. Good starter boat for the novice or project boat for the experienced. Pair it with a basic frame and oars and you're golden.
