Greetings from Eureka, CA!

Loooong time lurker finally posting up,

Thanks to all of you over the years for all of the posts and great advice (and laughs) on this site. I think I've been scouring this site for close to 4-5 years.

I orginally started out as a drift boat (Boulder Boat Works...) guy due to working and guiding out of the Eureka Fly Shop. DB's worked for most of what we did until the water got low. Then all the serious guides and crazies went out in rafts. Jealous, I finally found a virtually new NRS Outlaw with full fishing frame and hit it with them. Changed my life!

Found out that I could throw all sorts of camping gear in there, and now $$$ later, my family has found something we all really like to do together. Who knew you could camp so well? Firepans, standing room tents, Paco pads, groovers, dutch ovens..... At least my wife and daughter are sold out on it!

Anyhow, we mined enough info off of here to wander out to the San Juan this summer on a cancellation and had our first real multi day(Mexican Hat to Clay Hills). We loved it! Again, thanks to all of you for running this website and giving seasoned feedback. Can't wait to get our there with some of you. Already put in for all the lotteries....

Welcome to the conversations! Yes, it is a great way to camp and be with the fam. Good luck in the lotteries and enjoy.
