P.S.

I'm ready, if things decided to go south in a hurry!

Funny this thread popped up again, and that I checked in on the Buzz while I have wax melting on the stove right now and my roll of cardboard ready to go in a "perfect" pot. Got the pot at a thrift shop for $3.50. It's aluminum, so nice and light, with a tight fitting lid. Two side handles. About 13" diameter with an internal height of about 5 inches. Just what I was looking for.

I used 1 1/2" wire nails to hold the cardboard roll tight while I was assembling it. Worked great! I imagine they will just drop to the bottom of the pan when it burns that low.

We launch on the Canyon in a little over two weeks. Can't wait to give it a try in the lower Canyon when the air temps are warm at night and we can no longer burn driftwood (and have burned up the two dry bags of pine we are bringing for early March.) Lee's Ferry, here I come!

Once you've had a hot tent on a cold night, you won't think it over the top!

In the original wax candle can/box, how about adding citronella or some other natural bug repellent?

Just re-read full thread seeing MarkHusbands already suggested. I do think I will try with my old citronella candles that no longer have a valid wick.
