I have 30"/20' Jacks El Tigre Grande tubes, which I both row and motor. Very happy with them, as to weight, durability, and capacity.

FWIW.

Holy shit, no kidding. 1000 CFS on the Alberton gorge is bony in my 13', I can't imagine getting a J rig down that stretch at anything under 7k. I would love to see someone do it, and would really like to see how they launched, if at Cyr. That slide and carry is a pain in the ass with small rafts.

One thing that was to our advantage was the immense amount of floatation we had. We also had a lot of water reading experience between us. I had much more trouble avoiding rocks on the Grande Ronde at 800 CFS in my wooden drift boat.
