I'm a big goofy guy, so like and wear big goofy hats.
I like the KAVU chillba.
Can be had in many colors, floats, has a chin strap for heavy winds, is pretty floppy in heavy winds, but does do some shading of bald heads and necks and facess

Can we rename this thread, "River Hat Porn". my son sporting his river hat on the Main Salmon. I'm a fan of Goodwill hat shopping.

I run a palm straw hat - had it for years. when it's hot dunk it, when it's raining it seals up - sort-of. Anyways most of the rain runs off. Regular straw falls apart, palm lasts much longer. I got mine, like 10 years ago at Targhee fest. I see them every year at various outdoor markets - they're usually 40-50 bucks.

The Riverz look pretty sweet.... Not sure about $95 bucks for a hat but I like the idea of the adjustable band and sizing.

My son's river hat (and my wife's tucked up under the bimini)

Cheap straw cowboy hats are my jam, buy a stack at the beginning of the season and celebrate the retirees.

I like the Filson Packer hat.

Tin Packer Hat | Filson

Cool enough for summer, warm enough for winter, and tough as hell.

Tilley hat

Tilley hat. Made in Canada. Very durable. Has a replacement guarantee if you wear it out. Half price replacement if you lose it. I have had one for about 7 years now. I just wash it in the washer after each trip (river, camping, fishing, hunting, framing, roofing, backpacking, etc...) I use it a lot. Buy it about one size bigger, as they shrink a small amount. Only complaint is they are hotter than a baseball hat. Check out their website. Just my experience with hats.
