Raft Color Choice

This may sound ridiculous, but I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a new raft and torn on color. I can get a great deal on an orange Maravia and a decent deal on a yellow one. Otherwise, full price for red, dark green or aqua. All other colors are a ridiculous wait.

I've heard orange and yellow attract bugs. Is that really true or river myth? Any other considerations? Every kayak I've owned has been red.

Still searching for a decent pic of an orange maravia on the rio. There seems to be very few pics out there of orange other than the studio shots.

Thanks

I heard blue attracts bears! It's river myth about bugs & raft colors, they like the boat with the groover & garbage the best.

Forgot to mention, teal is another available full price option, and another one I can't find any rio pics of.

Search for Kazak4x4's posts on this site. He has a nice looking teal Maravia.

Get the purple one and name it "The Grapes of Raft".

I have a teal Maravia Cat....love it. Here's a picture. Before I got the teal boat, all my past cats had been red. I like having an "uncommon" color.
Most recent Cascade Outfitters catalog has several on river pics of the orange & neon green Maravia rafts.
