Question to those that have built a rocket wood stove for hot tenting.

Hello,

I have been trying my hand at building a rocket box wood stove and I have a question about how you guys removed the paint. I have finished mine and was the first burn today and expected the paint to burn off but even after a fire for 4 hours I have a very uneven burn and not all the paint has burned off (like around lid and the latches). How did you do it? Then did you just paint the box with high heat spray paint?
On the plus side the thing pumps out heat! and I can't wait to make a river sauna!

Any other build tips?

The lid was the hardest part, scrape, scrape, scrape, burn, burn, burn. It'll come off. Didn't put any high temp paint on mine, line the inside lid with rope seal.
Not a huge fan of those legs, I have mine sit in a separate "frame" with its own removable legs.
These guys make spring/fall trips possible for me and my buddies. Good luck.

How about firing it up and using a propane torch? Respirator required obviously!
