Partner Steel Hose Replacement/Repair

I tried to do a search on the forum but didn't find anything so....

Thoughts on fixing and/or replacing the hose to the stove. The needle broke on the stove end after a peep bent it 2 years ago on a trip.

I can call Partner but I assume this has happened before and folks might have a fix or replacement idea. Its a high pressure regulator with code MEGR 130 series on it.

Quick thoughts before I call Partner later this week?

I just checked my spare hose and it appears to be a standard short Schrader valve core used auto tires. I compared it to a valve I had here and it appears that the Partner one may have a slightly longer center pin. I would call them and check but should be an easy fix. Just unscrew the old one and install the new core, mine was tight but came out with a little force.
It is a good idea to replace the o rings on the stove end of the hose every so often, they have the proper size in the repair kit or you can buy them at the hardware store if you can match the size.

I did buy a couple of new hoses from Partner a few years ago, they weren't very expensive, I just bought the two that connect to the stove not the entire regulator and hose assembly.

dsrtrat,

Was able to pick up a core removal tool at the local auto parts store for like $2 and bought a few spare cores for emergencies. Partner Steel is sending me a replacement core as they use one that is specific to propane. They mentioned an auto parts one would do in a pinch and last a while. They were great to deal with.

Thanks for the help.

Phillip

Good to know, when someone managed to burn through my hose on a trip, I took it to a local shop that specialized replacing all types of hoses. Had no idea that even existed and I'm not in a large city, so I'm guessing something similar is available for others.
