New first aid kit case

I decided to pull apart my first aid kits, check meds and supplies (meds were out of date) and add a few things to the big kit. Over the winter the dry bag ( an older NRS coated nylon/clear pvc bag totally failed.

The bag is pretty much the size of a watershed ocoee, or a pelican 1420/nanuk 920 case. It seems like the cost of the three is just about the same.

I am stuck trying to decide between a soft bag, and having a hard box. The hard box would be easier to organize, but suck way more to land on and pack, the soft bag would squash easier, and might travel better, but a bit more vulnerable. This would be a rafting kit only, I keep a smaller kit in a drybag for kayaking.

So, drybox or good drybag for a first aid kit?

I carry two. One small kit with moleskin, band aids, med tape, Pepto, etc., in a gallon zip lock bag within a small, see through dry bag that is easily accessible during the day. The major kit is in an ammo box, painted white and marked "First Aid".
