If you freeze things before and only open on your cook day the ice will last much longer, but it does take some work. Shade, wet towels, will power not to open it. Most take two coolers, one with their cook group food that doesnt see a lot of action, and another with their beer that is opened every 5 minutes. Beer can get warmer without killing you, 12 day old defrosted chicken breast is another story...
