"Leg room" in a 12' Vanguard

Thinking of picking up a 12 foot Vanguard, which will be used primarily as an R2 boat.
Looking for feedback from other Vanguard owners, particularly tall ones, on the leg room situation in the R2 seating arrangement.
Some small rafts have plenty of room, Puma, Super Puma, Riken, Hyside.
Others, such as the 12' NRS Osprey from a few yrs ago are abysmal, have to take a knee so to speak when R2ing that one.
From what I've read, the Vanguards have a thicker floor, volume wise.
For how much they brag about their floors, there is very little info, pics etc on the Vanguard site.
What say you?

Hi

My paddlecat, and mini me both have plenty of leg room.

These are r2 machines !

A 12 vanguard, is no r2 standout, not on anyone I know short list of great or even good r2 boats....on the ok you can r2 that if want list.

My paddlecat is for sale right now,...it is a great r2 boat !

heck, if you bought it, I might even deliverer it to you...as long as there is still snow to ski there

Really if you want a r2 boat....that is not it !

Paddle on

I should edit that "primarily" to say about half the time. I do love the paddle cats tho and they are on my list. I need something I can carry paddlers in, and take on short multi-days right now. 12 and 13 footers fit the bill pretty well.

Hey

Ok, I understand you're needs better now.

I humbly submit the following for your consideration.

It is a lot easier to find 1 partner to boat with than 3 or 4....I had a 13 paddleboat, was lucky to fill it once a year ! ,

Now my mini max, ..... man.....easy to get a GOOD r2 partner for that ! I use that boat 2-5 days a week in season !

Be realistic, how often will you need the room ? When I have that special need day now, I just rent a boat, with paddle gear for my guests.....for me this is easy to do....rafts and gear is readily available through nearby rental companies and outfitters.

Buy a R2 machine ! You will get a lot of use out of it, rent when you need the extra room.

Hi

You can overnight as a R2 paddleboat or run as 1 man oar rig, with backpack style gear both the mini max and paddlecat.

paddle on
