lacing a Rocky Mountain Raft floor

I am replacing the lacing on my RMR 13 ft boat. The webbing was from the first year (2007?) and I have to replace. Has anyone done it that can give me a few tips or better yet...has anyone done a few and would like to do mine? Message me if you are near the Roaring Fork Valley and would like the job. Thanks in advance 970-309-2667

If it is still laced, the easiest way is to start in the middle and do a couple at a time. Unlace a couple holes and run the new lacing in those holes to the middle of the lacing. Keep unlacing a couple at a time and lace in the next couple until you almost run out of webbing, then do the other half. Doing only half at a time keeps you from having to run the whole length through every hole. The key to a good job is to avoid as many twists as possible in the new webbing. The other thing you can do is use good quality webbing like the 9/16 bluewater tubular and just single lace instead of double lace. When I do warranty lacing for them I only single lace. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks

Huge thanks "Pro"-Zack! You fixed the handles on this same boat 2 years ago. If I was closer I would pay you to do the job. I left a tip with the guys at DRE for you. Hope you got it.

I just re-laced my Hyside floor to save money and try it myself (after the floor out for valve replacement)....it took a LOT longer than I thought it would; I was not naive, but a couple of weekend project ....not technically "difficult" but detail work, slow, hassle, wife helped a little, but slower as a one man job...no regrets, but took me several dozen hours!!
