Kitchen Lamp Red Light?

I was wondering if anyone has come across a lamp that puts out red light like the setting on headlamps? I would murder for one to use in the kitchen. The bugs don't swarm that type of light.

Thanks,

Zack

LED Lantern + Emergency Flasher from Life+Gear

I have the smaller version but I'd prefer this one.

I'll let you know when I need the murder performed.

Does it put out enough power in the red mode to use as a kitchen light? Not expecting flood light brightness but enough to see what my knife is cutting.

Murder must be on the river to easy body stashing...

I have the 25 lumen lamp and would say no, but the 35 is a maybe. The 35 plus a red headlamp and you would be okay. Maybe you could put your kitchen in a giant bug room.

Cabela's Bugproof LED Lantern : Cabela's

Doesn't provide lumens for amber mode though.

If you get desperate you could always buy some red overhead projector transparency sheets in red and glue them to your existing lantern.

Red sharpie works wonders, I've used it on a mini mag lite as a temporary trailer tail light...

agreed. also look at professional photo shops, they sell the stuff for cheap.
cut to size and apply tape.

i would skip the glueing it on unless you were ready to have it as a permanent red light.
