Inflatable boat Cleaner

Since I have gotten so much out of this forum, I thought I would share my recent experience with the the boat cleaner I purchased.

I handful of years back, I purchased a 1981 Avon Pro off of EBay as an impulse bid. I won the auction, but needed to drive to Southern California to pick up the boat. The previous owner, bought it new. He added a Riken Floor to it, and some D Rings. He set it up to his liking, which included a break-down frame and a wooden kitchen box. The auction included his complete setup, which also included his First Aid Kit with stuff from the early 80ís still ready for an emergency.

In the last few years I started replacing things as I could. New DryBox, New Cooler, New Oars etc... I have taken the boat down Desolation, Yampa and Westwater a bunch of times. It has always been a good boat, no patches, just military valves that can be painful sometimes.

I am taking it down the Grand in November, so thought I would run through it again. Add some D Rings, make my own badges, Clean it, and 303 it. I bought the inflateable boat cleaner stuff to see if I could finally clean off the grime that has built up on the floor and the sides of the boat from bathing in the Colorado River too many times.

This stuff worked great, I hope me uploading pictures work as well. I will try to include some before and after photos of the cleaning.

Anyway float on buzzards.

I like that inflatable boat cleaner too. Other things that help are magic erasers. I will say that on Maravia boats which have a layer of texture under the Urethane layer chew the magic erasers up quickly.

I’ve used a pressure washer too. That helped speed things up.

The 303 makes it all shiny and new.
