Hyside Max 12.0 vs Aire Super Puma
I'm a long-time ducky paddler, and beginner hardsheller looking to buy a small raft to get the wife out on the river more. Will be used mostly on Oregon rivers, bout 50/50 as an R2/R4, and with a 3-Bay frame. Want to have my wife and I self-support out of it on rivers like the John Day, Grande Ronde, Owyhee, and Rogue. We pack light. I'm aware of the reduced load capacity that the narrow beam and short length provide. Looking for advice on durability of construction, differences in handling, ease of field repair. Lot of info on the SP out there... not so much on the Max 12.0, as it's a fairly new boat. The lighter weight of the Hypalon boat seems sweet, but worried it wouldn't have momentum when punching holes, and would get tossed around a bit. Any round boat experts want to compare and contrast these two for me? Any advice appreciated.
