Good Cheap Cooler, 55 Quart only size

I just bought a cooler at Wally's, $97. It only comes in this size. It's a Yeti knock off, 2" foam, nice gasket, Heavy at 23.5 lbs but lighter than Yeti 50 quart at 26 lbs. Nice lid closures, and can be locked against beer thieves on your trip. Cheesy long rope handles, no inside basket, and it's a medium grey color, but oh well. It's a "Lifetime" brand, maybe a Walmart company. Only mod,I'll put a large stopper inside the drain spout, otherwise it's un-insulated at that spot. Search lifetime coolers.
List on website is $129, but just paid the $97. Yeti 50, $329, ouch.

I don't think Lifetime is a Walmart brand. I've bought a Lifetime folding table at Costco that's pretty good for car camping. Seem to make a lot of molded plastic stuff.

Nix Grizzly cooler

Nope. 5 lbs heavier, 10 qts smaller, "up to" 2 inches of foam insulation, $60 more. The Lifetime has 2 inches of foam insulation. Lifetime has excellent gasket, too. Can't beat this cheap cooler.

it says its polyethylene but it says its blow molded not rotationally molded. Im not sure what the effects strength effects will be of the much cheaper construction method. Time will tell I guess. It does say that it is polyethylene not polypropylene so it is made of a good quality material. I saw some roto-molded looking coolers at a gas station once, maybe the $100 price tag was because of the similar construction. Im interested in how this thing holds up. I hope it does great, it would certainly bring up a cheaper option for us all.

Picked one up today...looks well made and seems to be well insulated. Will post field report mid to late May.

Here is the info from Walmart, specs and pics. Made in USA, Clearfield, Utah
Gasket is not in lid, like other coolers.

Looks pretty good. Half the cost of the Canyon cooler I was going to pick up for my Sabertooth.
