They actually explode less than you would think when shot.

Or so I'm told.

A statement like that, coming from you, implies first-hand knowledge LOL

They just rupture and spray LP everywhere. The key is to set a small fire in the vicinity of the tank when you shoot it.

Or so I'm told.

Keep us informed...

Now what do I do? I just refilled seven of the non-refillables. That is about a three year supply or more.

I will let you know if the process works in reverse, that is, putting the propane from the little bottles back into the big bottle. If you don't hear from me again you can likely assume what happened.

Or, does anyone want to buy refilled canisters in the Golden area for only the price of the propane? The stats for each tank are neatly labled on the side; i.e. refill date, empty weight, full weight, difference.
Keep us informed how they work, I have not pulled the trigger on a couple of those refillable bottles yet. I'm still running with the old "make my day bottles" in all the excitement I can't remember if I filled them 12X or 13X's, I'm not feeling too lucky.

Sadly, they dont explode. Shooting them is just the easiest way to put a hole in them so that the metal scrapyard will take them.
