Dropstitch for paddlerafting

I understand the appeal and benefits of dropstitch for rowing and fishing, but I was wondering how big the difference is for paddle rafting. My question is concerned with getting a good brace and locking my foot in under the thwart and along the tube. With the hard floor it seems like you might give up some of that security and flexibility.
Are there any other differences to i-beam floors for paddling to consider?

No worries.
I used to have a big Maravia Williwaw 2 that was formerly a commercial rafting co boat.

You can definitely stuff your toe under a thwart, you can stuff it between the floor and tube..

..you do lose a bit of lateral traction with a toe under the thwart...the top surface of the floor is smooth/flat, so you can't grip a rib like you can with an I-beam.

If you have a skilled paddle crew, the dropstitch floor is so awesomely maneuverable (you can side slip it) you'll have a blast with it.
