Wanted another drop "bag" for my new to me 16' boat and thought I'd make one instead.

I don't have access to polymax in Canada without crazy shipping costs... So I bought 3 oversized milk crates, cut a few sides off and bolted them together.

The finished product is about 39" x 19" and fits under my seat bay perfectly, and now I have a rigid place for hard sided and sharp items on my boat.

I'm pleased with how it turned out and will take it on it's maiden voyage next weekend.

Well done sir!!! Itís always great to see people find great solutions. Excellent concept, design and execution. If you run three straps under the belly and weave them in the into the vertical sides you have a great product that can even be customized to size.

Didn't think about running the straps underneath... That would probably make it a better weight carrier... Thanks, I'll give that some thought.

Got an invite on the Main in 3 weeks.
Dory won't quite be done, so I'm taking the 156R.

Wanted an everything bag, but wanted to build it.

Bought a 10' x 14' mesh tarp:
10x14 Multi Color Vinyl Coated Mesh Tarps from Tarps Online
They say colors are random, and they weren't lying. Examples were a blue-green and a tan-rainbow, and this is pink-orange. I'm glad it appears kind of a nice rusty canyon color. It's not a color I would have chosen, but I like it.

The other half will become another bag or may become folding chair seats.

Cut it in half lengthwise, and cut a piece of trampoline mesh for the floor.

1.5h of sewing later, and I have most of the bag. Still need to add grommets to the top.

Trying to decide if I will leave the back open and add grommets I can lace up. Thinking it would make loading/unloading easy, especially if I anchor with my stern to the beach.
