date the rubber only on valve type

Can the minimum age of a raft be determined based on the fact that there are military valves used (assuming OE)?

If so - what would that be. In other words, what time frame did most mfgs switch from military to Leafield?

I think Hyside switched between 1999 and 2001. Other manufacturers like Avon and Maravia switched earlier, but I don't know when. You will probably have to call each manufacturer to find out, i think the transition happened over the span of at least two decades.

Also there are different types of Leafied valves from different eras - first the A7 (loosely 80's), then B7 (loosely 90's) and now mostly C7 (loosely 2000's onward) but some D7 valves on new boats.

See the valve types here: https://rivergear.com/product-catego...latable-boats/

TL;DR - Overall no, but within a brand probably yes.

Hmmmm....not a bad off-season chart to create for the major mfgs. You could simply imply the age of the raft based on the valve (again, assuming OE) type.
