? Big Dogs on Rafts..

New to the rafting scene and was wondering if my dog will tear up my tubes/floor if he walks/jumps around on it. He is a hefty 75 pounds. Would like to take him on a trip with fam but don't want to shred my raft.

Dogs have always been fine on my rafts. Black lab, 65 lbs, no problems.

I've taken my friends 100+lb dog and my 60lb dog on my raft and have not had any issues with their claws tearing or even marking the rubber.

If anybody's got any ideas on how to keep him from stumbling out of the boat, I'm all ears.

Of course the dog gets the most comfortable spot. Since my dog is a loser when it comes to swimming she gets a PFD as well!

100 pound malamute. I have a rubber pickup liner scrap that I cut to fit my rear compartment just so she can keep her balance and have something to grip. I have no fears about her doing damage, other than if there's a bunch of sand on the PVC. Something for paws to grip will take care of the boat and your dog. Some folks use something called "Polymax" -do a search.

We bought our raft for our dog (at least thats how we justify the expense!) he is 75# and has not made a mark on our hyside.
