Best Trailer for 17' Dory?

I'm currently building a 17' grand canyon style river dory. Anyone have one of these? What size trailer do you use? Open bottom or solid platform? Is it ok if the boat hangs off the front or back end a little bit?

Thanks!

i built a 16'9" briggs last year. Ran it on a drift boat trailer, worked great. However, i ended up selling that trailer and getting a 14 ft flat bed/utility trailer that i can use for my raft or my dory. no prob if it hangs off a bit.
