Are Saturn rafts built ok to good?

I am looking at getting a new 15' Saturn raft. What are your opinions on them? I want it to be able to do Class IV with Class V at a latter date.

Type "Saturn" into the search bar at the top of the page and you'll be rewarded with dozens of threads with hundreds of posts discussing this ad infinitum. Or you can save some time: Saturns are garbage.

I have a 14' Saturn, have run Roaring Fork and Pumphouse, no complaints. Reading the
water may be more of a factor; looking at your "paddling since year, your have plenty of experience.

I own a 14.5 Saturn and its great. Rode on a 15 down the grand with no issues.

Inexpensive rubber so you can get spendy with the accessories.

I'd ask for a Dave scadden thread but we just had one. Welcome to the off season!

Incredible group here. Massive amount of experience and opinions. And trash talking. Have a sense of humor, a thick skin and an open mind to the serious posts. Learned a lot by listening to the years of experience here.

I have a 15'6' Saturn that I bought new in 2009 with my nephew as a disposable boat for a Grand Canyon trip. It did not cost much more than renting and we needed one more raft. Planned on using it until it died than toss. Still use it when we need an extra raft as a loaner/back up (free of course). I have a Sotar, RMR and a dory as well. I personally would go with a RMR with a drop stitch floor for just a little more $ than Saturn. Saturn is ok.

That's what I'm leaning towards now. A 16' RMR.
