Any aluminum-welding-buzzards in the FoCo area?

I am looking to have some some aluminum tabs welded onto a drybox- are there any aluminum-welding-buzzards in the FoCo area that would be willing to that on for some $$/beer? What's the going rate for that type of work?

That SUCKS! He treated me right with both my frames, but I put both orders in early so maybe he wasn't busy yet. Its to bad because the frames he makes are bomber.

Riiiight? His frames look very nice and he's very reasonable price-wise. We have a very specialized frame requirement and for some reason he doesn't want to make it. Keeps trying to change our design. We've used this design for over 20 years now and it's what works for us and our 30 inch Jack's tubes. Today he emailed me and said he "suggests we use our current frame". Seriously? It's steel and has become way too heavy for us (I'm 57 and hubby is 67) lift, it's rusting, and now has 6 holes in it. Besides, why should he care WHY we want a new frame? My husband doesn't have a lot of rafting years left and permits are becoming few and far-between.

Aw crap..there I go getting all riled up again.

I may have begged enough...he seems to be getting back on-board. He indicates it's a time problem...I just wish he'd told us that to begin with. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Well, he seems to be back on board with our frame right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I would like to edit my original comment but can't find a way. Can someone tell me if that's possible?

Probly need help from a moderator to do that, you can only do editing on your own for about 15 minutes.
