1 day descent of rogue river?

Is it possible to raft the 84 mile section of the rogue river in under 24 hrs?

Depends on the flow and, most importantly, which 84 mile stretch? It is possible to float from the William Jess Dam to the Pacific (157 miles). The last 30+ miles into the ocean are exceptionally flat and slow.

It was floated in 7 hours today at around 10K on the Agness gauge. (Graves to Foster)
He updated us his location with a Spot Device all day. One raft and one cataraft.

In the early 90's a group of us ran from Galice to Foster Bar in about 5 hours which included lunch and a scout at Blossom....roughly 41-42 miles. Not exactly sure what the flow was but was around 30k in Grants Pass. Also, Will Volpert who previously posted on this question ran it last year(I think) from Grave Creek to Foster in an afternoon outing......and they had some great video!

Best half day trip in Oregon, right Aaron?

In 2015 we launched from Almeda because a landslide had washed the road out on the way to Grave Creek.

Here are some pics and video from that trip...

Something to note is that you don't need high flows to run it in a day. The W&S stretch is only 35 miles and can be done in a day even during low summer flows. The original poster was asking about an 84 mile stretch on the Rogue, which sounds brutal considering how flat the Rogue is, particularly upstream and downstream of the W&S stretch.

One day Rogue

When I got my Oregon boatman's license I had to hire a certifier guy to check out my whitewater skills. It was in 1976, and the guy charged $150 a day, so I rowed Galice to Foster Bar in a pleasantly long spring day at medium flows. We did not scout anything and had lunch on the raft.
