Rio Chama Permit Swap

Wooohoo! I finally won a lottery. The Chama launching June 7th or 8th.
Feels pretty dam good!

Oh crap. It's the same weekend that we were planning on floating the Moab Daily for my girlfriends birthday (and made non refundable campsite reservations).

She is not up for the Chama because she wants friends who are not boater friendly to be able to come along. I have tried every angle and it's not sticking so I am looking for someone who might be willing to trade. If not it's gonna be a messy breakup. (Just kidding, love you babe....)

Any weekend (or Thursday) date would be good with me. Thanks in advance for anyone who wants to trade or has strategy how to convince her that the Chama is a better option!

-Pete

Okay, I'll trade you. I'll take your girl friend, her female friends and the camp sites on the Moab Daily and you can have my wife for the Chama. Never done this before
so will probably be very interesting

Is there ant chance you can change the dates of your campsite reservations?

I'd be interested in swapping your Chama permit for a case of yellow beer. 😛

The Chama is a very mild trip, only one real rapid IMO (Argon) I guess Dark canyon too if its over 1000 cfs

I've taken many people with little to no river experience and their own craft on that trip with no problems (duckies and mini me's). I would way rather be on the Chama than the Moab Daily.
