New to the South East

Hey Y’all we just moved from Colorado to Georgia and need a good river for a family float. We live about an hour south of Atlanta right near the ocmulgee yellow and south rivers. None of them seem floatable but I haven’t had time to prospect. Any suggestions?

Head North of Atlanta on the interstate to North GA streams, or hit the Ocoee, Nantahala, Chatooga or a bit further into the Blue Ridge and Smokies for more fun rivers. All kinds of floating up in the areas where TN and NC state lines meet. Do a duckduckgo search on the river names or Amazon for area river guides. It is a bit longer of a drive to get north of Atlanta but plenty of great boating runs close to the northern border of GA with TN and SC.
