Lower Deschutes at 10,000 cfs

Hey All,

We are looking to put in mid week this coming week at warm springs. Right now it's at 10,000 cfs and most guide books put the high limit on the river at 8,000 cfs. Anyone have any experience or recommendations at this level?

Thanks!

Found this, also its running 7500 CFS at madras, which is the more important gauge for the section you are running. The gauge you're looking at is below White river.

Buckskin Mary should have some pretty big waves at this level.

Have fun!
Sounds like fun

What BigB said. My group ran it two years ~8000 cfs after La Niņa winter. Buckskin was BIG. Whitehorse wasn’t memorable. T ‘em up!

Awesome thanks for the info. Looks like it continues to rise based on the gauge at Madras. Wondering if there is a time to call the trip and not go for it this week...

Interested in another boat?
Which day day are thinking of putting in?
How long on the river?
I've been wanting to do a high water Deschutes trip...but I'm sure I can't sneak away for more than two days...
