Gapers equals ...

What is a gaper?

Gapers = A Tourist, particularly one who stops and stares at somthing while being completely oblivious to what's going on around them.

"I guess you would quantify a gaper as someone from out of town who isn't very familiar with the mountain, or the mountain lifestyle."

The etymology is simple. Gapers garnered their nickname because, while standing somewhere they shouldn't be, thus making them an accident-waiting-to-happen, the mouth tends to be agape.

"They're oblivious. They have no clue."

Cool Name Gaper.

Edit: And its GaperS,Webster! As in plural....as in "i'm surrounded by gapers!" As in "if i'm talking to you,you are a gaper of CEmartin proportion."
