Where to Raft 1st week of June 2012?

Where is a good non-permitted run with a raft at these levels? I have NO idea of what to boat that I don't need a permit with the lack of water.
I'm in Salt Lake City and have the first week of June off.

Any beta is greatly appreciated.

It will help responders to know what type of river you're after. 2-3-4 will be available on the Ark

Easier stuff on pumhouse or Loma stretch of colorado river

Main Salmon

Main Salmon, either the permitted section (open to first come/first serve until 6/20) or the miles and miles of non permitted sections upriver. Many miles of various whitewater (II-IV) to be found out there. 6+ hours from SLC.

Snake River near Alpine WY. Many miles of various whitewater (II-IV) to be found up there and closer than the Main Salmon. 4 hours from SLC.

Day and multi-day trip possibilities on both rivers.

It is easy to get a permit for Cataract Canyon. I have gotten permits there with only a couple of days notice. They didn't even have time to mail the permit to me, and went to the office in south Moab to pick it up before we went out to Potash to rig.

If you're in SLC, forget Colorado this year. Why head deeper into drought territory when Idaho is just to the North with a mostly normal snowpack? The Payette drainage and the Lochsa are non-permit runs and should have decent flow. If you want a multi-day, I believe the lower Salmon is not permit controlled either and would make a 5-6 day float. Lots of other options up there depending on skill level, motivation and water.

Have fun!

+1 on FatmanZ's suggestions. Permits for the Main Salmon are available if you want a weeklong adventure. Alpine Canyon if you want some weekend fun. Gray Canyon on the Green (Nefertiti to Swaseys) is a fun weekend run if you want canyon scenery. If you want a casual weekend with fishing, do the Southfork Snake from Conant to Byington. You could run some whitewater on Alpine Canyon, then drive on down river and relax for a few days on the Southfork Snake. We do the Southfork over Memorial weekend most every year.
