Upper Salt River Yesterday

Went down the upper salt river yesterday and it was pretty awesome. I am sure others have gone down at higher but 3000 cfs is the highest I have done.

Great video! Is there a reason you are R2ing from the bow and stern rather than side by side? It is much easier to get good leverage paddling from the tubes, rather than the floor in my experience. Are you much heavier than your partner?

I have done it both ways, we are about the same weight. I might have 10lbs on him. He actually prefers to be up front like that he thinks he can react quicker if we sit that way. I do find it a little easier to high side this way. However I think for the person in front it is much easier to paddle if your sitting in the middle on the tubes like you were saying. I have run both ways though.

Here is Apache Falls I took a picture at the end of our trip after we got changed. It looked pretty awesome at that flow.

No problem, I am glad you enjoyed it. It was a great trip, I previously had never done baptism rapid so it was nice to be able to run it. Only wish the video showed the size of some of those holes and waves. Really doesn't do them justice.
