tubes or floor

I have a 25 year Ripken MiwokIII that the tubes are in real good shape. My problem is it has three floors in it (aft, middle and stern) The middle floor blew out an I-beam. It will cost between $800.00 and $1500.00 to fix. I would be willing to sell tubes and raft frame to someone who has a good floor or buy a good floor from someone that doesn't have good tubes. Open for suggestions

That is a pretty stiff price for one short i beam to be repaired. That said, if it is more than one i beam it may not be that bad of an idea to replace the floor.

You may want to shop around.

This may work, and it's only $400.

RMR 16' Floor

What size is the boat, anyway? It seems like you may as well just start looking for a whole new floor for it...

I bought a 1987 15' riken for 100 bucks with two blown I beams on the floor. The tubes are sweet. My buddies and I stitched it down the two seams with an rei speedy stitcher and patched over it. It's been holding air for a week in the garage with the kids jumping up and down on it. If the floor is busted it's worth a shot. First patch job I ever did.
